Golf Style: A Rainbow of Colorful Golf Apparel

Posted on Apr/24/2012

I’ve been seeing a lot of trends recently on the golf course. A big one is COLOR! It seems that from the newbies to the established pros, everyone is injecting colorful pieces into their wardrobes. Golf courses are often set on some of the most picturesque locations in the country and around the world. You deserve to look as great as the scenery does.

What you may not realize, is that Oxford Golf has embraced this color trend for years. Many of the Oxford Golf Performance Polos come in nine or ten different color options, and that’s just for each individual style of shirt! If you were to fill your closet with all of the bright, quality golf clothing that Oxford Golf has to offer, you would have over 1,000 shirts in your closet, 10 pairs of shorts, and belts to match!

Here are some suggestions as to how you can experiment with this colorful trend:

  •  If you’re not ready for head-to-toe plaid, try adding a colorful argyle sweater instead. The Royal Oak Sweater works perfectly with a neutral pant, and its colors probably coordinate with other Oxford Golf shirts in your closet.
  • A great way to start is to add one or two pieces to your closet, and go from there. Our Coral Sea Delvin Polo, for example, has a dapper argyle texture that’s not too loud, and is perfect for easing your way into the colorful waters.
  • Wear a neutral colored shirt you’re already comfortable in, like our Castlebar Polo, and layer with a colorful Devon Sweater. This way, if you decide that the color choice isn’t for you 9 holes in, you have a neutral backup ready.

Oxford Golf is a leader in classic golf attire, and known for its sophistication and traditional styles. However, Oxford Golf also strongly believes that quality and performance don’t have to have a negative effect on style.

So, the next time you’re packing up your golf bag, or heading to the Clubhouse, and you reach for another neutral, try to spice things up a bit.
